Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh arrived at the residence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The two leaders were slated to meet ahead of the farmers’ talks with the Centre over the farm laws and Dilli Chalo agitation.
Meanwhile, The talks between the Centre and the farmers’ leaders are underway at Delhi’s Vigyan Bhawan, with 40 leaders reportedly representing the farmers, while Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Minister Piyush Goyal are present at the meeting on behalf of the Centre.
The delegation of farmers’ leaders reached Vigyan Bhawan earlier on Thursday, 3 December, morning for what is the third round of talks with the Centre as Dilli Chalo protests continue over the controversial farm laws.
Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Thursday told ANI, “The government is constantly discussing issues with farmers. Today is the fourth round of talks and I’m hoping for a positive outcome.”
